 1. After reviewing handouts CR1-3, create a CRITO outline (not the full essay; see CR 3) on a C (topic) of your choice from our discussions/readings, perhaps expanding on a previous S&R.  Outlines due: Friday, October 16.

Final essay due: Friday, October 30.

Assignment #2: Defining Music (updated)

1. Begin reading Gracyk and Kania, Chapters 1&3.

2. Review (if necessary) handout S&R. Compose a complete S&R for Chapter 1.  Be prepared to share your views with the class.  S&Rs can be hand-written or typed.  I will collect S&Rs when we have completed our discussion of Chapter 1.
